⚖️ NCAA Eligibility Guidance

If you're a high school athlete considering college basketball, accepting certain prizes — especially cash — may affect your NCAA amateur status.

  • 🔒 High school athletes may still enter the contest and be recognized, but can opt-out of receiving the cash prize.
  • 🎖️ Alternative awards such as certificates, shoutouts, or non-cash recognition may be given instead.

We strongly recommend checking with your school or a compliance officer before accepting any prize.

📝 Parental Consent & NIL Acknowledgment

If you're a high school player, you’ll be asked to confirm whether you're under 18. If so, the process will collect your parent or guardian's email for consent, and provide information about NCAA amateurism and NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) rules.

This step ensures you're compliant with state and NCAA guidelines, and helps protect your eligibility.

Note: Study of Hoops is not responsible for any issues related to your eligibility. By signing up, you agree to allow Study of Hoops to use your submitted video, name, image, and likeness for future promotional content.
